Wednesday today. We are over the hump to the weekend. I am hanging out for the weekend as I am pretty knackered. Training 22 is HARD WORK!!!!!
Today went much better. All the system issues seem to have been sorted and we were able to get some serious training done. I don't know how much they are absorbing as they don't get a huge amount of practice on anything.
The drive to and from work is really interesting. Our drivers Mike and Si are fantastic people and boy do they drive!!! The roads are in-sane!!!!! There appear to be no road rules, it is a complete free for all, apart from the three sets of traffic lights we go through each day. And yet we have only seen one accident thus far. The lanes are there for......well really..... I don't know what they are there for as no-one takes a blind bit of notice and the spaces that Mike can squeeze a van through is truly awe inspiring and more than a little terrifying.
We go through some really poor areas on the way where the houses are made of rusty corrugated iron and people live under bridges. And then there is the evangelical school which has the most amazing church/cathedral that I will try and get a photo of. We are not supposed to have cameras at work but I will take one anyway just so that I can get photos on the way.
Either I am getting used to the heat or it is cooler today. I don't even feel like I need my air con on in the room. However the training room is just hideous!!! It gets incredibly hot in there.
Well I don't have much to report today apart from work went quite well so I am off for a 25 peso (that's LESS than a dollar!!!!!) beer and bed.
A long, dry, summer
